Tips Alcohol Server Certification Class: (Approx. 3 hours)

There are countless reasons why you should be certified to serve alcohol but the #1 reason is liability. The liability associated with alcohol-related incidents can range from fines to incarceration. The best defense is time tested, proven, intervention techniques. The TIPS On Premise certification-training program was founded on these principles over 35 years ago and the program continues to be the leader in responsible alcohol service training & education worldwide.

The On-Premise TIPS certified training is specifically designed for restaurants, bars, hotels, or any location where alcohol is served in open containers for immediate consumption on the premises. The training will provide participants with all the necessary knowledge and tools to prevent intoxication, underage drinking and drunk driving.

You will learn proven intervention techniques:

  • How to spot minors

  • How to prevent sales to minors

  • State alcohol service laws

  • How to detect fake and altered ID’s

We also offer the same training for Arizona participants called Title 4 training.  Although essentially the same training we custom train our Arizona clients the following courses:

Arizona Basic Title 4 Class: (Approx. 3 hours)

As an owner, agent, or manager, you are required to complete an approved Basic alcohol training to maintain compliance with Arizona liquor law.  Our Title 4 on-premises course meets these requirements.

Additionally, the course teaches you how to protect yourself and your employer from liability, making it ideal for employees who need to learn the basics of serving alcohol safely.

You will learn about a variety of topics, such as blood alcohol concentration (BAC), checking ID cards, and how to recognize when someone’s had too much to drink. The course covers Arizona-specific laws and regulations, like hours of sales and payments, management policies, and service limitations for alcoholic beverages. To take the Title 4 Manager course you must take the Basic Title 4 class before taking the Title 4 Manager class.
